![]() ![]() In Diablo 2, you could play and gain gear, and have dozens of Mules full of Riches knowing that maybe someone will need something that you can trade for something that you also need. There is no reward in playing with others, there is no reward in getting the same item 100 times just to re-roll some minute stat on it. D3 is dead, because it’s boring and even when you’re playing with a group, you’re playing solo. Regardless of RMT, trading and open loot has been one of the core aspects of why Diablo 2 has had such great success and longevity. Why do people think Diablo 2 has lasted for 20+ years? There’s a correlation here that I think some people are very ignorant of. ![]() Maybe some of you didn’t play in the hay-day of D2 where we actually had active Trade Channels and dozens of Trade games up at a time, but I did, and it’s one of the missing mechanics from D:3, D:I and it seems will be for D:4 too. They say they want to bring back the best parts of Diablo 2 - Trading was one of the best parts of Diablo 2. In my opinion, any game that doesn’t allow free trading is going to live a very short life (in the grand scheme of things). This game should have open-ended trading because you will never get away from any sort of RMT as people will find ways to make real money for any game.(Blizzard seems to lean this way, from past statements) This game should have some trading but avoid trading certain items because, again, this will avoid certain aspects of RMT.The game should have no trading, relying purely on drops to obtain gear because this is the only way to avoid RMT.We have quite a few differing opinions of what Trading should look like but it seems we can group the ideas into three ideas: Out of all of the updates we’ve had on this game so far, you think one of the core aspects of any ARPG would be detailed in full - but is hasn’t been.
